Paladim Design Workshop has created ‘ARKA’, a modern floor lamp that combines wood with metal accents, a black shade, and a pop of yellow.

The Bulgarian based studio starts off the creation of the oversized floor lamp with chunks of high quality European lime wood, which they then cut, shape, sand, and construct, to make a modern lamp with an industrial yet sculptural shade.

After the wood receives a water based stain, it’s then finished with a satin varnish, making the wood smooth for years to come.
The base of the lamp does double duty, it not only provides stability for the lamp, but it has also been designed in a way to provide a couple of shelves for storing various items like books and magazines.
