Designer Bjarke Nielsen created the Conoid swivel chair for Danish furniture
manufacturer Eilersen.
From Eilersen:
Conoid is moulded around a steel frame which is placed in a casting mould and then polyurethane foam is sprayed down into the mould. The seat, which measures 47 cm in diameter, is upholstered with 50 mm of soft foam, and the conical back is clad with 20 mm of the same soft foam. The chair comes in leather and in a variety of fabrics.
