Stacks of colorful rocks have appeared in the desert near Las Vegas

This bright, bold, colorful art installation by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, is located in the desert south of Las Vegas, Nevada. The recently installed artwork will be on view for two years beginning May 11, 2016.

The ‘Seven Magic Mountains’ installation is made up of seven individual towering sculptures. Each sculpture evokes the art of meditative rock balancing.

The installation is situated on the far southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard along Interstate 15, approximately a half hour from downtown Las Vegas.
