The architects wanted to create a sculptural cabana design, as it sits beside a prominent public walkway called ‘The Lighthouse Walk’.
The architects mention, “People stream past it everyday as they head towards the lighthouse. Most people love it and there is a wide array of nicknames for it throughout the town.”
Below the cabana is a bathroom with a shower. A large holding tank set underground is fed by rainwater off the house roof, and no town water is connected to the pool or its pumps.
