Italian lighting manufactuer Pallucco, have shared a video showing how their hand-blown glass ‘Egg’ lamp, designed by Enrico Franzolini, is made.
The extremely hot molten glass is attached to the blow pipe

Next, the glass is sculpted into the desired shape

The glass is then placed into a wire cage, and air is blown through the blow pipe to inflate the glass until it bulges through the cage.

You can see just how much the glass has been blown through the cage

Almost there, just some finishing touches before the lamp is broken away from the blow pipe
