The cabin, located in British Columbia, Canada, has been designed and positioned in such a way that all of the existing trees on the property were preserved.
The home is clad with second-growth managed forestry cedar inside and out.
The entryway guides people to the front door with a path lined with boulders and ferns.
Inside, the living room has a simple gray sofa, while a black fireplace keeps the room warm at night.
A wall of glass with sliding doors connects the living room to a covered patio that’s furnished with chairs and a fire bowl and has water views.
Adjacent to the patio is the dining room, which has a wood lined wall, and a concrete floor.
The dining room opens up to the kitchen, which has been designed with thick countertops, and dark lower cabinets.
A black doorway by the kitchen opens to reveal the bedroom.
The bedroom makes the most of the view by having a wall of windows, while a black and white partial accent wall wraps around the room, and adds an artistic element to the space.
In the bathroom, the black accents continue with blackened wood walls that surround a built-in bathtub.
