A Modern Mountain Home with Scandinavian and Brazilian-Inspired Interiors

Scandinavian and Brazilian inspired interiors with warm wood tones, layered textures, and a clean modern palette.

CLB Architects completed the interiors of this modern home in Park City, Utah, shaping a space that feels warm, stylish, and ready to host. Designed as a part-time home for a New York-based family, the interiors focus on comfort, durability, and a clean aesthetic.

Wth five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the design reflects a close collaboration between the homeowners and CLB. The result is a contemporary interior that also incorporates the family’s existing art collection and their need for spaces that can handle frequent gatherings.

Clean Interiors with Global Influences

Inside, CLB Architects drew from Scandinavian and Brazilian influences to shape a modern and clean interior.

A neutral palette is layered with walnut and white oak, alongside moments of color and texture. Materials like limestone, leather, and Moroccan rugs add contrast, while the homeowners’ art collection helps guide the overall direction of the interiors.

A Kitchen and Bar Built for Entertaining

The home includes both a kitchen and a separate bar, each designed with entertaining in mind.

Wood cabinetry and light-colored countertops create a consistent material palette, while durable finishes ensure the spaces can handle both everyday use and larger gatherings.

Warmth Through Material in the Hallway

In the hallway, wood ceilings and wood flooring introduce a warmer tone.

These elements add texture and contrast, helping to balance the lighter, more minimal spaces found throughout the home.

The games room brings in a more expressive layer to the interiors. A wood accent wall is paired with a colorful floral artwork, adding energy while still tying back to the home’s material palette.

A Calm and Minimal Primary Bedroom

In the primary bedroom, muted gray wallpaper wraps the walls, creating a soft backdrop for the bed. Minimalist pendant lighting hangs from above, while a matte black ladder adds contrast and provides a place to hang blankets.

A Graphic and Functional Bunk Room

Another bedroom takes a more graphic approach, with wallpaper wrapping the room. Custom bunk beds are designed to sleep three, each with its own niche and wall-mounted matte black light, combining function with a strong visual identity.
