When an old Breton barn in France was converted into an artist studio, Modal Architecture designed the space to include birch plywood cabinetry. The cabinets made by Yvon Le Houerou, a local carpenter, feature a star-shaped cut out in place of where the door pulls would be.
Inglis Hall warmed up this kitchen, by including 14 removable dovetail boxes. Made of black walnut, the boxes add an interesting combination of old world craftsmanship to the otherwise sleek contemporary design.
