Commission by French luxury goods company Dior, architect Christian de Portzamparc was asked to design a building for their flagship store in Seoul, South Korea. He was inspired to design a building that represented the way Christian Dior sculpted his creations.
“…essentially there would be part of the building that would be completely rectangular, with a strict geometry, which would be the Dior man, while the Feminine side would have the draped aspect”, says Christian de Portzamparc.
