Sometimes, when you’re cooking in the kitchen you want to be able to watch TV, but when you have an open kitchen and dining area, it can be hard to find a spot to put your TV, especially if you want to hide it away when guests are over.

Architect Ben Herzog and interior designer Kevin Dumais solved this problem when they were designing a loft in Tribeca. They hid the TV within a wall that also forms the banquette bench for sitting at the dining table.

By placing the television behind a panel within the wood wall, it allows the TV to be on show when needed, and completely hidden away without the use of a bulky cabinet.
