In the heart of São Paulo, mf+arquitetos has crafted a home that balances family life with thoughtful design. Concrete, wood, and stone were carefully combined to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, both for those passing by on the street and for the family inside.

A large front door welcomes visitors, immediately hinting at the openness within. Behind it, a wall of glass opens onto the living and dining rooms, where natural light floods the space. Built-in shelves lined with freijó wood connect the two areas, uniting them visually while giving a tactile sense of warmth.

The kitchen is a study in contrast. Wood cabinets meet black stone on the backsplash, floating shelf, and island, offering a modern yet cozy feel. A sliding door allows the space to be closed off when desired, maintaining privacy while keeping the option for integration with the living areas.

Outside, the home features a small pool, its dark gray walls and surrounding landscaping creating a private oasis. The pool area ties back to the internal patio, connecting indoor and outdoor life without sacrificing seclusion.

Back inside, a wood staircase leads to the upper floor, where bedrooms are shielded by wooden louvers. These louvers provide privacy and thermal comfort while letting natural light filter in, giving the upper level a serene, airy quality. In one bedroom, a wood-lined window seat doubles as a reading nook, a quiet spot for reflection or play.

Even the bathrooms reflect the attention to detail found throughout the home. One bathroom, tucked off the living area, features a dark color palette and is hidden behind a door that blends seamlessly with the wood wall. It is both functional and visually integrated into the home’s material story.

In every corner of the house, mf+arquitetos has found ways to blend warmth, privacy, and openness. The combination of concrete, wood, and stone ensures the home is not only visually appealing but comfortable for everyday family life.
