A Deep Window Seat Creates A Reading Space For This Architect’s Office

Creative and architecture studio ALMOZNIVILA designed a small office space for themselves that’s attached to a home in Buenos Aires, which features a prominent built-in window seat.

The exterior of the office, shown with a raw concrete facade, has a house-like shape protrusion with wood-framed windows.

Protruding windows create space for a deep window seat.

By having the windows protrude away from the building, it gave the architects a bit more space, allowing them to create a deep window seat.

The window seat is surrounded by dark wood shelving, while the interior of the window seat is lined with raw concrete, complementing the exterior of the building. To make the concrete surface more comfortable, a large cushion and a sheepskin rug have been added.
