Ukrainian design studio Brandon Archibald Studio has created a concept design for the branding, identity, and interior design for Maui Pops, a popsicle and juice store in Hawaii.
Both the branding and the interior were inspired by the wooden Hawaiian Tiki character and the colorful Hawaiian palette. This resulted in the heavy use of wood throughout the design as well as the use of bright fun colors in the interior and the branding.
The interior of the popsicle shop was designed with kids and families in mind and features seating options for both adults and kids with a spot set up just for children to sit at and color while waiting for and enjoying their natural Maui Pops.
On the opposite wall of the store are wooden bead fixtures that hand above the counter, and match the handles on the front doors, and compliment the the colors used throughout the rest of the shop. The signage is bright, playful, and 3-dimensional to make the menus more intriguing and grab the attention of everyone who walks through the doors.
For the branding, Brandon Archibald Studio took the flavors of the Maui Pops and turned them into colorful graphics that are used on the various types of merchandise, including t-shirts, notebooks, bottles and stickers.
The popsicles themselves are made in the same bright colors as the rest of the branding and are made on wooden sticks that feature the brand’s Tiki character and logo.
Takeaway menus have been designed with simplicity and clarity in mind but also use the fun bright colors to keep the brand consistent and recognizable.
The cups for takeaway products feature the brand’s simple logo while the bags and coffee carriers have the colorful graphics and the Tiki character.
To complete the branding, stickers and magnets in the same font and bright colors found in the rest of the branding, have been created to add a more playful feel to the company and appeal to the youngest of customers.
