Along the shoreline of Ha Long, Vietnam, Delicate Decor has created Mam Ha Long as a tea house that encourages visitors to experience the beauty of Ha Long Bay through architecture. Located beside one of the world’s best-known natural landscapes, the project focuses on opening views across the bay while creating calm, inviting spaces that never distract from what lies beyond the glass.
Every curve, material, and architectural feature has been shaped to celebrate this remarkable location and offer visitors a fresh way to experience it.

Inspired by the Bay’s Sailing Heritage
Ha Long Bay is famous for its towering limestone islands, but it is equally known for the boats that travel across its waters every day. That local identity became the starting point for Mam Ha Long’s design, with the building taking inspiration from the bow of a vessel moving forward across the sea.

Soft curves sweep across both the roof and facade, giving the building a sense of motion that reflects the character of the coastline. The flowing form introduces a contemporary architectural expression while drawing on imagery that has long been associated with the bay itself.

A Curved Glass Facade That Puts the Landscape First
One of the most striking features of the project is its panoramic curved glazing system. Inspired by the shape of a camera lens, the expansive glass envelope creates uninterrupted views across H? Long Bay while surrounding visitors with water, sky, and the bay’s distinctive limestone islands.

The curved glazing becomes more than an exterior wall. It acts as a viewing frame that constantly directs attention outward, making the landscape an essential part of every moment inside the building.

Flowing Ceilings Expand the Sense of Space
The architectural language continues overhead through a multi-directional curved ceiling that introduces another layer of movement within the interior. Its flowing geometry works alongside the glazed facade to enhance the feeling of openness while drawing the eye through the space.

Balanced lighting spreads gently across the ceiling’s curves, adding depth and reinforcing the visual connection between the interior and the scenery outside. Together, these elements create an inviting atmosphere where the architecture and surrounding views feel closely linked.

A Calm Interior That Lets the View Shine
Inside, Delicate Decor adopted a restrained material palette that keeps the focus on Ha Long Bay. Soft pastel beige tones are paired with textured finishes, glass, and naturally finished surfaces to create a bright and welcoming environment.
Decorative elements have been kept to a minimum so they never compete with the scenery beyond the windows. Materials, colors, and lighting all work together to preserve open views while creating a seamless relationship between the interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.

A Ceiling Feature Inspired by the Mam Logo
Another standout element appears above the main space, where the leaf symbol from Mam’s logo has been transformed into an architectural feature. Soft lines spread across the ceiling in an interconnected geometric composition that recalls leaves unfolding across the surface.

The design serves as more than a visual reference to the brand. It also highlights the technical precision required to bring the concept into built form. At the intersections of the ceiling pattern, subtle openings allow light to filter through, introducing a gentle glow that enhances the openness of the interior.

Mam Ha Long brings together architecture, landscape, and the visitor experience through a design that continually draws attention to its extraordinary location. Every curved surface, material selection, and expansive glazed wall contributes to a space that keeps Ha Long Bay in constant view.

By combining a refined architectural language with unobstructed panoramas, Delicate Decor has created a tea house where visitors can experience one of Vietnam’s most celebrated landscapes through a fresh architectural lens.
