Wedge-Shaped Window Seats Offer A Place To Sit And Relax In This House

July 29, 2020
Wedge-shaped window seats are included in the design of these protruding windows.

Normally when we see window seats, they’re rectangular, but in this house renovation by architecture and interior design firm Taylor Knights, the window seats have a wedge design.

Of the two window seats included in the house, one is located next to the kitchen, and the other is part of a dedicated reading room. Both of the window designs protrude away from the walls of the house, creating wedges that are ideal spaces for a window seat.

Windows protrude on an angle enabling wedge-shaped window seat to be included in the house design.

The black-framed window seats look out to the garden, and have a dark grey upholstered bench that’s been decorated with comfortable cushions. Making them the ideal place to take a break, enjoy the garden, or read a book.
