Seattle-based artist John Grade has created Middle Fork, a tree sculpture that has been made up of hundreds of thousands of individual wood pieces. To get the shape of the sculpture, John and his assistants scaled a 140-year old old-growth Western Hemlock tree, where they took plaster casts of its trunk and limbs.

The sculpture is currently on view at MadArt in Seattle, WA. through April 25, 2015.
A family in Chicago needed more space to fit their four children into a recently purchased home, so they hired Space Architects and Buckingham Interiors to help them redesign everything. One of the space saving solutions was this custom designed bunk bed with built in stairs and storage.

Atelier JMCA, a Parisian architecture & design studio, have designed a creative solution for a restaurant in Paris. The designers were challenged by the restaurant’s confined space, and had to be meticulous and inventive. One of their solutions was a long cantilevered prism, that acts as a table and a counter/bar.
