Smith Designs included this custom 360º gas fireplace, at the center of this top floor open plan apartment in Canada. The gas supply was only available through the ceiling, so a column shape became a natural choice. It was wrapped in a mirror-polished stainless steel, which reflects the surrounding views, and allows the column to blend in with everything.
